Melinda is training her daughter Bree to work with her in the future as a duo and the two have a beautiful blend of vocals that often comes when families sing together. Bree has a very uniquely beautiful voce that stops people in their tracks – a rare gift that Melinda is developing with her daughter to create a very special duo performance.
At the moment, Melinda works mainly as a soloist and suits almost any type of venue or event, from quiet dinner music to raging rock and everything in between. She has a very keen sense of musical style and her choice of songs is always pleasing to whatever the occasion, with the ability to work the room and cater for each gig on its own terms.

Running her own small business (Melinda J Wells Music Studio), Melinda is well aware of the importance of trust, reliability and consistency that ensures a good relationship between artist and agent, agent to client and she always works towards this goal. Melinda is a respected music teacher and is the creator and facilitator of the RockOn Songwriting Workshop program that teaches children and adults how to compose, arrange and perform their own original music. Melinda has been writing a new album of songs this year and is about to head into the studio to put some demo songs down with Bree and hopes to have a successful career as a song-writer in the coming years.
Melinda has also created the Songwriters Network Qld, bringing together songwriters of all genres, styles and ages to workshop, jam, collaborate and join forces to help establish careers for younger and older members. This venture is steered by Melinda, Hugh Brown (musowiki) and John Rodriquez (Singchronicity) and Mr Sean O’Boyle is the patron for the group, there is also support from Q Music, Song Central, Hook Line and Sync and many other organizations and well known successful Queensland artists.
