For many years, I was fortunate to be part of the facilitation team of Creative Pathways in the Central West, a program run by Human Ventures in conjunction with Blackall Regional Council, Longreach Regional Council and Winton Shire Council. The concept was to bring all forms of creative industries to children and youth across the Central West by engaging arts workers from a range of disciplines to travel to the west and deliver three sets of workshops culminating in the Shockwave Youth Arts Festival.
Here’s a story ABC did on this fantastic project

In February 2012, as part of the Creative Pathways workshops, Melinda J Wells worked with young singers across the west to create a Shockwave Glee Club choir for this year’s festival… here’s a snippet of rehearsals in Blackall! All songs have been picked to reflect the festival theme of ‘Blast from the Heart!’

Part of the festival was a combined regional glee singing group and here’s the Tambo crew having fun rehearsing for the festival
